Ted Faiers @ David Lusk Gallery

Lunaresque, 1955, oil on canvas, 34 x 44 in.

Faiers (1908 - 1985) was a Canadian by birth. After a short period in New York he moved to Memphis, TN and taught at the Memphis Academy of Art from 1952 - 1977.
The works in this exhibition span a three year period that saw Faiers focus on a clean cut abstraction that recalls Klee, Stuart Davis and early American Modernism.
